Prof. Zhengxin Zhu

University of South China, China

Prof. Zhengxin Zhu is a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor focusing on novel aqueous energy storage batteries. He earned his PhD from University of Science and Technology of China and completed postdoctoral research there. He has published 18 high-level peer-reviewed journal papers as first or corresponding author. He presides over several youth talent and natural science foundation projects. He holds four authorized invention patents on aqueous battery systems. His research centers on electrode material design and energy storage mechanism analysis. He joined University of South China as a full-time faculty member in 2024. He participates in academic exchange activities across domestic universities every year. He devotes himself to developing low-cost batteries for large-scale energy storage. He guides master and doctoral students to carry out electrochemical experimental research.

Prof. Faxing Wang

Southeast University, China

Prof. FaxingWang is a young chief professor and doctoral supervisor focusing on electrochemical energy storage and conversion. He earned his PhD from Technische Universität Dresden and conducted postdoctoral research in Germany and LBNL, UC Berkeley. He has published over 120 SCI papers with more than 14,000 citations and an H-index of 60. He holds one German and two Chinese authorized invention patents for energy devices. He serves as associate editor of Chemical Engineering Journal and editorial member for multiple international journals. He acts as reviewer for NSFC, Swiss NSF and dozens of top energy & materials journals. He has won Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher and Research.com Rising Star of Science Award. He teaches postgraduate courses and recruits doctoral, master students and postdocs every year. He is a Fellow of FIAAM and selected into National High-level Young Talent Program.

Chengxing Cui 

Henan Institute of Science and Technology, China

Prof. Chengxing Cui is an associate professor and master’s supervisor, who received his PhD from Beijing Normal University and was selected as Young Backbone Teacher of Henan Province. He has nearly 20 years of teaching experience and delivers multiple undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Structural Chemistry, Bilingual Computational Chemistry and Theoretical & Computational Chemistry. Two courses taught by him have been certified as First-Class Undergraduate Courses of Henan Province, covering Photoshop Image Processing and Bilingual Chromatographic Analysis. His long-term research focuses on theoretical and computational chemistry for carbon materials, energy conversion mechanisms, optical properties of COFs and MOFs, and he proposed strategies for rational design of carbon-based energy catalysts. In the past five years, he has presided over multiple provincial and postdoctoral research funds from Henan Province and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Supported by these projects, he has published more than 30 SCI papers in journals such as Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie International Edition and Coordination Chemistry Reviews.

His research systematically explores structural modification mechanisms of carbon materials and catalytic reaction pathways for clean energy transformation. He keeps exploring theoretical simulation methods to guide the performance optimization of porous crystalline energy materials. He integrates computational simulation results into classroom teaching to cultivate students’ interdisciplinary research thinking.
